While Epic said that new content for Save the World will slow down, “the adventure doesn’t end here for Save the World.” On the game’s official blog, Epic wrote, “All paid Founders will have their Founder’s Packs upgraded to the next level and unlock all the rewards included in the upgraded pack. Save the World will also “no longer be able to support all upcoming Fortnite Battle Royale cosmetic purchases, but your existing library of cosmetics will continue to function in both modes.” More importantly, Epic said that it’s reversing plans to make Save the World free to play, and will slow down development of the mode, which has long been overshadowed by Fortnite’s battle royale component. Fortnite is dropping its early access label, Epic Games announced on Tuesday, as part of a change to the game’s original survival mode, Save the World.
